Paulo Duarte

Paulo Jorge Cleto Duarte, graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1997 from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon.

 

He is co-owner of Estacio Pharmacy and Estacio Xabregas Pharmacy, both in Lisbon.

 

He holds an MBA in Information Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2004).

 

He has been President of the Board of the National Association of Pharmacies since 2013.

 

Since 2010, he has been a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Farminveste.

 

He was secretary general of the National Association of Pharmacies from 2002 to 2013.

 

He was, from 2002 to 2015, Secretary General of the Association of Pharmacists of Portuguese Speaking Countries (AFPLP).

 

From 1999 to 2002 he was secretary general of the Order of Pharmacists.

 

From 1997 to 1999 he was secretary-technician of the National Commission Against AIDS.

 

He began his professional career in 1996 at Johnson & Johnson, with whom he collaborated until 1998 in the regulatory area.

 

As a university associative leader, he was president of the Association of Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon (AEFFUL) in two terms, from 1994 to 1996, chair of the General Assembly of the Lisbon Academic Association (AAL) in 1996 and of the Bureau of the AEFFUL General Assembly in 1996/1997.
